(Formerly known as The Prince’s Trust), the charity of which he founded in 1976 with £7,600 of his own money when mass youth unemployment had left a generation without direction or opportunity. Five decades later the numbers tell their own story. More than 1.3 million young people supported. Thousands of businesses started. Countless careers built from nothing. The anniversary brought together ambassadors, alumni, cultural figures and young achievers on the Palace lawns to mark what patient, purposeful investment in people actually looks like over time. </span> </p> <p> <span> <br/> </span> </p> <p> <span> Emma Rego, founder of REGO Creative, was among those invited in her capacity as a King's Trust Young Ambassador.
